Description:
This comprehensive project included rough rice receiving,
cleaning, and storage; parboil plant with drying and tempering
bins; byproduct storage and shipping facilities; warehouse
and office; waste water pretreatment facility with control
building, influent and effluent lift stations, aeration service,
and mechanical equipment. For rough rice storage, there are
27 silos, each 26” x 135’. The milled rice storage consists
of 48, 21’ x 95’ silos. The 8 tempering bins are 21’ x 63’
and the 9 silos for byproduct storage are 21’ x 90’. The headouse
is 38’ x 83’ x 135’, the parboil plant is 60’ x 125’ x 110’.
This site required 200,000 lineal feet of 14”-diameter auger
cast-in-place piling.
