Borton completed the slipform construction of two (2) 50’-0” inside diameter finish cement storage silos by 135’-0” high. The silos were constructed with conventional steel cone hoppers.

Description:
Borton was the contractor for the slipform construction of the new cement silos and the equipment installation for Rinker Materials Corp., Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. The work consisted of two (2) 38’-0” inside diameter finish cement storage silos slipform constructed to a height of 173’-0” with pilings, foundations, walls, roofs, and cone hoppers.
