C&T/Quincy Foods vegetable oil processing plant

Description:
This facility constructed by Borton is one of the largest of its kind in the USA. The plant processes soybean, corn, peanut, cottonseed, sunflower seed, canola, palm, and coconut oils. Receiving and loadout are for both truck and rail car which include provisions for tank cleaning and drying. The process lines refine, bleach, dewax, hydrogenate, deodorize, and fractionate the oils as required. There is an extensive tank farm for crude oil storage, in process holding, blending and loadout. Borton also constructed the wastewater treatment plant housed in the building shown at the lower left of the above photo.
